FAQs: Application Process

Applications can only be submitted once a year for each of our focus areas. In 2025, our first funding opportunity will focus on vulnerable young women and girls either on the edge of the criminal justice system or who already have a criminal conviction and who have served a custodial sentence. This funding opportunity will open in the spring to award grants in the autumn. Details of our second opportunity, which will also focus on young women and girls, will be announced in September with funding awarded the following spring. Yes, we want to give you the best possible chance of submitting a successful application and want to fund work that makes a real difference to the lives of the young people receiving support. We are therefore happy to discuss potential applications by email or by telephoning 07716 378564. Please check our office opening hours before calling.

The Main Grants Programme is for grant applications of between £30,000 and £80,000 for projects that have a duration of 12 months to two years. A maximum of £40,000 per year can be requested and the amount of funding requested must be proportional to the project being undertaken.

The turnaround for the Small Grants Programme application is much shorter than for the larger grants. The aim is to approve the successful grants within a month of them being received.

The Small Grants Programme is for grant applications of £10,000 that must be spent within a specified time frame of no more than 12 months.

Applicants download and complete an application form that can be found in the Small Grants Programme section on the website. The completed application is emailed to applications@triangletrust.org.uk Once the funding round closes, all applications are assessed and a shortlist drawn up. Shortlisted organisations will have a brief telephone interview. Applications that are being put forward for funding are reviewed by Trustees. Once applications are approved by Trustees, successful organisations will be informed by email.

We are a small team with limited resources so are only able to provide feedback to applicants who are unsuccessful after receiving an assessment visit from our Director.
