A Way Out is a Teesside‑based charity supporting women and girls to feel safe, confident, empowered and in control of their own lives. We work alongside those who have experienced abuse, harm and exploitation, using trauma‑ and gender‑informed approaches that are grounded in trust, relational practice, respect and choice. Through our Blossom service, we create welcoming, non‑judgemental spaces where young women and girls are listened to, believed and supported to build on their strengths.

Our work focuses on addressing multiple, complex and compounded disadvantages, prioritising wellbeing, healthy relationships and connection whilst recognising the resilience young women already hold and supporting them to make positive choices for themselves and their futures.

Triangle Trust funding will enable us to deliver a dedicated Blossom programme for young women and girls who are in contact with, or at risk of entering, the criminal justice system. The funding will support flexible one‑to‑one and group work that focuses on wellbeing, emotional resilience and healthy coping, using creative and trauma‑informed approaches. Contextual Safeguarding and addressing harm outside the home are key aspects of the holistic interventions we undertake.

By working in partnership with local services and meeting young women where they are, we will ensure support is accessible and based on trust. This programme will help young women and girls feel more confident, connected and supported, reducing the likelihood of further harm and enabling them to thrive in their communities.

The Women’s Centre Cornwall is a charity with 30 years’ experience supporting women and girls living with the impact of sexual and domestic abuse. Our Centre is based in Bodmin and we provide empowering support to women and girls across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and HMP Eastwood Park through our wide range of projects and services. Our vision is a world in which women and girls are safe, respected and empowered to fulfil their potential free from violence, inequality and oppression.

Our Young Empowered Women’s (YEW) Project supports young women aged 11-18 who have experienced any form of sexual violence, harassment or sexual abuse. We listen to young women’s voices and empower them to live the lives they choose for themselves. The YEW Project offers safe and creative spaces in which young women can be heard, make connections with each other and be celebrated through one-to-one sessions, group work or both.

This Triangle Trust grant will enable us to proactively reach out to young women whose offending, or at risk behaviour, masks unresolved sexual abuse trauma. Our specialist one-to-one and group support will help them to understand the impact of abuse and to make positive changes preventing further harm to themselves and others.

Evolve Recovery Homes works with vulnerable marginalized women with multiple complex needs, providing safe secure accommodation.  Alongside accommodation, we deliver a programme of trauma-informed support including one-to-one casework, group sessions, peer mentoring, life skills development and pathways into education, volunteering and employment.

We are women-led and shaped by lived experience of trauma, homelessness and recovery. We understand the barriers women face and provide services designed exclusively for them.  Our staff team are trained in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed practice and boundary management, ensuring high-quality and compassionate care.

Our project addresses the specific needs of young women aged 18-25 by providing safe housing, reducing risk of harm, offering therapeutic support for trauma and mental health, building practical skills in tenancy management and employment, and creating positive peer networks that reduce isolation. By working with probation, youth offending teams and community partners, we provide resettlement support and interventions that reduce reoffending risk.

This grant will enable us to reach more young women ensuring they receive the housing and support needed at a critical stage in their lives. The project addresses immediate risks of homelessness and criminalisation while also building long-term protective factors such as education, employment, wellbeing and community belonging. By breaking cycles of disadvantage, we help young women achieve stability and independence while contributing to safer, stronger communities.

Oasis Project gives hope and help to women, children and families affected by drug and alcohol use. For almost 30 years ago, Oasis has taken a gender-specific approach in recognition of the barriers women face in accessing support – particularly those relating to experiences of domestic and sexual violence, parenting responsibilities, and the intergenerational impacts of substance use. We have dedicated services for young women, sex workers, and women who have had children removed from their care.

Funding from Triangle Trust will enable Oasis to provide flexible, trauma-informed, gender-specific support to young women aged 16–30 in Brighton & Hove who are engaged in or at risk of offending. Based in Oasis’ Hope service for young people, the role will offer 1:1 casework plus professional consultancy, bridging gaps in current provision for high-risk young women.
